The Sunday Brunch Buffet 3/31/2013

This story of a mama touched my heart.

Her husband also knows how to hit the nail on the head.

The only thing I want to do more than make my own honey is make my own maple syrup. Aimee has the life!

Lori created an epic resource for food bloggers.

I’ve been thinking a lot about homeschooling lately. Here’s some info in support of it.

Have you tried Chobani bites? I imagine these muffins taste just like my favorite flavor, pineapple caramel!

You had me at crispy goat cheese.

I’m excited to try vegan raw crunch bars for a healthy snack.

I’m kind of sad that its The Walking Dead season finale tonight. I guess I can just watch Toy Story when I’m missing it.

I feel like parents are just totally understanding me this week. The days are long but the years are short.

Here’s what I brought you this week:

Carmelitas – a super sweet treat that I had been waiting forever to make.

Vegetarian Baked Southwest Egg Rolls – savory beans and veggies come together with cheese and spices inside a crispy wrap.

Happy Easter!

Thanks for the homeschooling link! I’ve also seriously tossed around the idea. I feel kinda like a weirdo because I don’t know anyone personally who does it or has considered it. I’ve read so much about benefits and nothing really about negatives. The response to the idea usually is about lack of socialization, but I’ve read about co-ops and such for group activities. Plus, there are always clubs, sports, etc. Anyway…. thanks for bringing up the topic and getting me thinking about it again. Only 2 yrs until kindergarten for my little one!

I actually know a lot of people who grew up homeschooled and they’re all great people! No real socialization problems and they were all educated a variety of ways. I have lots of friends currently doing it with their kids too, so its nice to have a support system and people to ask questions of. I’d love to hear more about your adventure with it if that’s the way you decide to go. I figure I’d better start looking into it now so I can make an informed decision in the next year.
