If you spend a lot of time here you may have noticed some slight changes recently. I’m on a never ending quest to improve your experience in my little internet home, and I’d like to walk you through a few ways that I’m changing things up today.
I’ve been using Ziplist to make my recipes easy to save and print for some time. If you’re not familiar with Ziplist, it’s an awesome online tool that allows you to save recipes, create meal plans, and organize your shopping list. This fits into everything I want The Live-In Kitchen to be for you, and I’m happy to announce that I’m now partnering with Ziplist to make all of this easier for you!
Don’t worry, you won’t see too many changes around here. I’ve added the Ziplist recipe box to my navigation menu at the top of the site to make it easy for you to access all the recipes you’ve saved from my site as well as many of the other great blogs you already visit.
To get started, click on the Recipe Box link above. It will take you to the Ziplist site with my navigation menu still at the top so you can easily get back to searching my recipes. There you can create a Ziplist account or sign into an existing one. Then it’s time to start organizing.
Whenever you come across a recipe on my site that you’d love to make, just click the “Save to Recipe Box” icon.
No more trying to remember which site you saw a recipe on and then seeking it out! You’re going to have all your favorites in one spot. How easy is that?
Most of the recipes on my site should have the Ziplist option to save or print, but if by chance you come across an older recipes that doesn’t have it feel free to let me know through a comment or email and I can easily add that functionality for you.
One of the best parts of all this is that Ziplist has a (free!) app for your smartphone that will sync your recipes and shopping list, making it easy for you to get everything you need from the store!
Please let me know if you have any questions on this great new partnership. The phone app is still new to me too, so we can hold hands and work through it together. I’m super excited about having all these recipes at our fingertips!
I’m also rolling out a new Favorites page in the navigation menu today. Here you’ll find links to my favorite blogs (many of whom offer the Ziplist recipe box!) as well as my favorite blogging tools and posts I’ve done on some of my favorite foods and products. This is just an easy way for me to share what I love with you.
Oh, and did I mention that I love you?! I’m so happy you’re here and eating along with me. Please let me know if you have any questions about these new features or tell me any other way I might be able to improve your experience here.
