How do you make edible cookie dough?
If you’re like twelve year old me the answer is – Make cookies. Eat dough.
However if you’re a responsible person trying not to contract a food-borne illness, then let’s talk about how to make edible cookie dough without getting sick.
To make cookie dough that’s safe to eat, first be sure it doesn’t call for eggs. Raw eggs run the risk of salmonella. Second, if you really want to be safe, spread your flour on a rimmed baking sheet and bake at 350ºF for about 5 minutes to kill any bacteria.
