    Seven on a Sunday #1

A canopy of trees, yellowed in autumn

    It’s a new series!

It’s been a long time since I checked in with a personal life post, but wanted to give it a little theme. I thought Seven on Sunday sounded nice, and it gives me a chance to share a little bit about what’s going on in my life lately. Let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like me to talk about, otherwise I’ll check in every few weeks with what’s been going on around here.

    The Great Outdoors

    Four kids in fall

I forced myself to comb the kids’ hair and put them in semi-matching outfits so we could get outside for a few photos before all the leaves fell off these beautiful trees. If you don’t already know, I have serious tree love and it was great to go on a family hike exploring all the different colors.

    Girl outside

    Boy outside

It was actually just going to be a 10 minute photo shoot, but it was so beautiful out that we turned it into a two hour hike which ended with us stuffing our faces at a Chinese buffet. I love watching the kids be adventurous with food, and they’re never more open minded than at a buffet!

    Baking for Fun

    Chocolate Chunk Blondies

Once a week I try make something fun for the family that I don’t have to take photos of or get just right. My favorite go-to is these Chocolate Chunk Blondies. The recipe is so ridiculously easy and they always hit the mark.

    Jackets I’m Lusting Over

Jeron and I binged through Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency recently (major recommend, at least for season one), and I came out the other side with a serious jacket obsession. Here are a few fall jackets I’ve been eyeing up!

    Party Cocktails

I’m hosting a party this week and am in serious need of some signature cocktail inspiration! I’m thinking I need something fall themed that will make like 12-18 servings.

A fall forest with tall, skinny trees with yellow leaves

I hope you enjoy the rest of your Sunday and have a lovely week! There’s a pumpkin recipe coming your way soon!
