How was your Christmas? Were you carefully watching every bite or are you an “anything goes on the holidays” kind of person? I’ve been giving in to gluttony most days, but trying to balance it out with healthy choices here and there. I’m not really one for New Year’s resolutions, but I’ll definitely be making a stronger commitment to healthy eating once all the partying is over.
2013 was a fun year for me in blogging. My daily readers grew from fitting in a volkswagen to fitting in a football stadium, I was able to attend several awesome blogging conferences, and I made a lot of really, really delicious food. Today I’m happy to be sharing with you my most popular posts of 2013. If you missed any of them throughout the year, this is your chance to jump on the bandwagon! If you had a favorite from the year that you don’t see on the list, I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, these sandwiches are over the top and satisfying. Yes, I put garlic and brown butter breadcrumbs on a sandwich. Just do it.
Oh, chocolate cake. I love you. You are made even better with a hint of real orange flavor and thick ganache frosting.
These potatoes are super simple and real home cooking. A great way to dress up plain old potatoes.
Chewy, healthy granola bars you can make at home!
While this dish does take a lot of time to put together, it’s totally worth it. There are so many layers of flavor going on that you’ll be bored with anything else.
This is one of my family’s favorite meals, soon to be yours.
You might think you don’t like brussels sprouts, but that’s because you haven’t tried them like this before. They taste like candy!
What’s the difference between dessert and a healthy on-the-go snack? Who cares, just eat these, they’re delicious.
Love pecan pie but hate how hard it is to make a crust and hold it in your hand? Welcome to the world of easy, on the go pie. I love how these taste just like the real deal but without corn syrup!
This is my real-life most requested creation. It is so easy to throw together (and double) for a party. I recommend making it for New Year’s or the super bowl!
I love, love, love these brownies. If you’re ever looking to get on my good side, just bring me a pan of these.
These dainty little cookies are so pretty and sweet. They are dangerously easy to make and eat!
Slightly spicy and super healthy, these taco bowls come together in minutes and were the biggest hit of the year.
Thanks for coming on this culinary journey with me this year! I look forward to eating with you in 2014.
