Ingredients

pure maple syrup

tablespoon
coconut oil
melted
¼
teaspoon
pure vanilla extract

all purpose flour

teaspoon
flaky sea salt
divided (optional)

Instructions
In a mug, combine maple syrup, coconut oil, and vanilla extract.
Add flour and ¼ teaspoon salt. Stir until all the flour is incorporated.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Microwave for 55 seconds or until the cookie is baked through. Don’t overbake it or it will become hard. Allow to cool for 1 minutes before enjoying.
Notes
Tips for customizing a microwave mug cookie
Instead of chocolate chips, try your favorite sprinkles
Add 1 tablespoon of chopped walnuts or pecans
Microwave it for a few seconds less to make it extra gooey
Top with a dollop of your favorite frosting
Use vegan chocolate chips to make it vegan
Use a gluten free flour blend to make it gluten free
