Mocktails aren't just for kids anymore.
Lots of people (myself included) are cutting out alcohol to improve their health, attitude, and overall outlook on life. One of the great things about mocktails is that they're really for everyone - if someone wants alcohol in their drink, all they need to do is add it!
If you've never had a Cinderella mocktail, it might become your new favorite. It's definitely a hit with my kids, who love mixing up drink concoctions on special occasions.
We're using three fruit juices (lemon, orange, and pineapple) topped with grenadine and ginger ale. I don't usually choose soda, but I couldn't find my favorite ginger juice at the store and really wanted that ginger flavor. It turned out great!
Ingredients
- Fresh squeezed lemon juice
- Fresh squeezed orange juice
- Pineapple juice
- Grenadine

- Pineapple slices, optional
- Maraschino cherries, optional
- Orange slices, optional

How to make a cinderella mocktail

Top tips
Use fresh squeezed juice
You can absolutely buy store bought juices for this recipe, but the best flavor will come from using fresh squeezed juice when possible. Unless you have a juicer, you will most likely need to purchase pineapple juice anyways.

Stirring
I recommend stirring the juices and grenadine together, then adding ice and topping with your bubbly beverage of choice. You can do a slight stir after adding the ginger ale, but if you stir too much you'll lose some of the bubbles. Adding a fun straw makes sure you'll get all the flavors at once!
Tips for customizing a cinderella mocktail
- Swap the ginger ale for ginger beer
- Swap the ginger ale for club soda and 1 tablespoon of ginger juice
- Use store bought lemon juice or orange juice instead of freshly squeezed
- Add a dash or two of non-alcoholic bitters to your drink
- Swap the grenadine for pomegranate juice

FAQ
No, you don't need a cocktail shaker for this recipe. If you prefer a super chilled mocktail you could shake the fruit juices in one with ice before straining and adding the other ingredients, but it isn't necessary.
Grenadine does not contain alcohol, but can be found in the alcohol section of the grocery store near the other mixers like tonic water, maraschino cherries, and sour mix. My local Woodmans also carries it in the soda section near the sparkling grape juice.
A cocktail contains alcohol. A mocktail does not contain alcohol. The rest of the ingredients might be the same or different between the two depending on what you're trying to make and what recipe you're using.
