Top tips
Use real maple syrup
While it's possible that pancake syrup would work out ok here, I still recommend using 100% pure maple syrup. It will offer the best flavor, texture, and nutritional benefits.

What kind of peanut butter to use
I always choose a natural peanut butter that contains only peanuts and salt. This does give the fudge a bit of a nutty texture.
If you prefer a smoother texture, you can use a more processed peanut butter, such as JIF or Skippy.
How to store freezer fudge
If you don't want to eat the fudge as soon as it is frozen, transfer it to a zip top freezer bag or wrap in plastic wrap and freeze for up to 3 months.
Tips for customizing peanut butter freezer fudge
- Swap the maple syrup for an equal amount of honey (not vegan)
- Add 1 tablespoon of chopped peanuts, almonds, cashews, or hemp hearts
- Add 1 tablespoon of mini chocolate chips or sprinkles
- Freeze the fudge in a silicone muffin tin

FAQ
Freezer fudge is a little different from real fudge because it gets its texture from being frozen instead of from sugar and fat. Because of this, the fudge will melt quickly at room temperature and should be enjoyed frozen.
Yes, peanut butter freezes great. It becomes more firm in the freezer, which makes for a great fudge texture!
